Cryolipolisis Fat Freezing for stubborn fat pockets
This is a unique, non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that uses a technology called cryolipolysis to eliminate the fat cells in the chosen area.
The fat cells are ‘destroyed’ using a handpiece that creates a vacuum over the treatment area, drawing the fat into the handpiece. By lowering the temperature to -5 degrees on this localized area, the contents of the fat cells become crystalized which causes necrosis – or in layman’s terms, cell death and doesn’t harm the surrounding tissue.
The remaining contents of the fat cells are then disposed of naturally through the body’s lymphatic system.
Fat freezing is only suitable for those with pockets of fat rather than a large area of fat and it is therefore recommended as a one-off Cryo Freezing treatment.
A single treatment can kill 20-40% of fat cells in the area.
One Cryo Freeze treatment lasts between 45 and 60 minutes depending on the size of the head used and how many areas are being treated.
If more than one treatment is required, this can be carried out 6 weeks later.
We incorporate Shockwave Therapy with our Cryo Freeze Treatment. You will have a Shockwave immediately after your Cryo Freeze and then a further 3 times at weekly intervals thereafter.
By doing so we are able to enhance and accelerate your treatment results.
Without Shockwave Therapy results; would not be visible for 3 months. With Shockwave Therapy; your results will be visible 6 weeks after your initial treatment.
Shockwave therapy is a probe that is placed against the treatment area and emits radial waves through the skin as it passes over, stimulating the fat breakdown and encouraging lymphatic drainage.
As the body takes several months to flush out the dead fat cells, results will be visible after approximately 8-12 weeks. A course of Shockwave Therapy can help to speed up this process along with a healthy diet, regular exercise and drinking plenty of water. These results can be permanent as long as a healthy lifestyle is maintained.
During the treatment, you will experience a slight pulling sensation and will feel the area going cold but within a few minutes, the area will become numb. There are a couple of minor side effects that may occur as a result of a Cryo Fat Freeze treatment, but these will quickly subside. They may include:
- Slight redness and swelling occuring immediately after the treatment
- Slight discomfort within the treatment area 2-3 days post-treatment
- Minor bruising may happen up to 10 days post-treatment
- Cold and firmness of the area for up to 2 weeks post-treatment
A Single area of Cryo Fat Freezing Treatment inclusive of 4 x Shockwave Therapy Sessions (the first one immediately post Cryo and the following 3 at weekly intervals thereafter) costs £175.00. Without Shockwave Therapy the cost is £100.00.
For 2 areas of Cryo Fat Freezing with 4 x Shockwave Therapy Sessions the cost is £225.00. Without Shockwave Therapy the cost is £150.00
Shockwave Therapy speeds up the results to 6 weeks post treatment. Without Shockwave Therapy results will take 12 weeks.
