Our clinic in Ashby de la Zouch is a Medical Setting regulated by the Care Quality Commission for Diagnostic and Screening Procedures.
This means that we can safely and effectively offer you a private, independent blood testing service. We use a laboratory trusted by the NHS and private clinics alike: The Doctors Laboratory.
Our laboratory partner is UKAS accredited and operates at the highest level of clinical standard. This means that they have been inspected by UKAS and accredited to ISO 15189. Furthermore, they participate in regular quality audits, clinical governance and accreditation inspections.

Blood Testing FAQs
In most cases it is best to collect your sample in the morning. For any test which requires a fasting sample it is usually more convenient to take your sample after fasting overnight. Upon booking your appointment you will receive a document via email containing pre-treatment advice. If, after reading this, you are still unsure then we encourage you to give the clinic a call for further advice.
We understand that you will want to get your results as quickly as possible. Your test results will be available on your personal dashboard with advice and comments from a qualified doctor once they have come back from the lab. Some results can take just a couple of days whereas other, more specialist tests might take anything up to a few weeks to come back to us.
You will receive your results on our secure online portal where they will be displayed on your personal dashboard. Simply click to view your latest test and you will see all your results presented digitally so that you can see at a glance which ones are within the normal range and which are outside. All our tests come with doctors’ advice and comments from a qualified doctor. Our results also come with a PDF which you can download and print to share with anyone you choose.
