Intra-Lipotherapy Fat Dissolving Injections
It’s true to say that fat dissolving injections have been around for a good while.
However, we can safely say that the method used at Aeternum Aesthetics is superior to many of those already offered.
We use a third generation sodium deoxycholate solution which is much safer and far more effective than previous solutions.
The solution is administered by cannula directly into localised fat deposits.
Sodium deoxycholate causes destruction of the fat cells which then undergo degradation and are gradually removed by the lymphatic system. This gradual process of removal within the tissue takes time and results can take several weeks to fully appear. Often more than one treatment is needed to obtain the desired results.

What areas can be treated with fat dissolving injections?
Sodium deoxycholate can effectively treat stubborn fatty areas such as the abdomen, flanks, saddle bags/hips, buttocks, back fat/rolls, inner thighs, inner knees and even double chins. The recommended protocol for treatment is 4 sessions at 6 weekly intervals.
Is it safe and does it hurt?
Sodium deoxycholate solutions have been used safely worldwide for many years. There is a lot of evidence to prove the safety and efficacy. This procedure is performed in clinic by an experienced Nurse Independent Prescriber who has undertaken advanced training with an accredited national trainer. Local anaesthetic is added to the solution prior to administering. There may be some discomfort but this is generally reported as mild and does not interfere with day to day activities. Post treatment pain killers can be taken if needed.
What are the side effects?
Some swelling can be expected and this is at its worst in the first 24 hours. Wearing compression garments post treatment can help reduce this more quickly and will also aid the lymphatic drainage. Further information on compression garments will be provided at consultation.
Bruising is also common and some pain can be experienced in the first 24 hours but this is generally described as mild.

Prices and Information
Our prices start at £140.00 for one area of fat dissolving injections.
We have put together some extremely competitive packages with additional areas as low as £50.00 per area when purchasing multiple areas.
The maximum that can be treated in one session is 6 areas (approximately 6 hand spans).
Generally a course of between 3 and 6 treatments is needed. Treatments are performed at 6 week intervals and we will advise how many sessions are needed following examination of the areas to be treated.
