What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for treating skin laxity.
With one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64mg / 2ml) it is not only boosting and hydrating the skin, but also remodels the ageing and sagging tissue.
Profhilo delivers great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetics treatments currently on offer.
Longevity does vary between individuals, but results are expected to be gained over a period of 4-6 weeks and last for approximately 6 months. If you choose not to maintain the results with further treatment, your skin will return to its pre-treatment state over time.
Many of our clients who enjoy the results of their Profhilo treatment will continue to have a ‘maintenance’ treatment every 12 weeks after completing a course. In doing so, they are always maintaining their Profhilo results rather than waiting for it to disappear and starting a course over again.
For clients who wish to maintain results, we also offer a ‘Profhilo Direct Debit Plan’ which combines 3 monthly Profhilo treatments with collagen inducing, skin tightening facials. This is a popular plan and one which enhances results even further.
How does Profhilo work?
Although the majority of dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, Profhilo is not a dermal filler. The molecule chains of both high and low molecular weight non-animal hyaluronic acid are thermally stabilised and fused together creating a unique patented hybrid complex, to form a gel which spreads and becomes integrated into the skin.
Profhilo is injected into the skin in a specific pattern depending on the area to be treated. Two treatments are required, 4 weeks apart. The first to stimulate, the second to ‘boost’ and ensure longevity. In some cases and depending on your initial skin quality, you may benefit from a third treatment, typically 4 weeks from your second treatment.
How long will it last?
After completing a 2 part treatment at 4 week intervals, you can expect your Profhilo results to last for 6 months. After which time you would need to repeat the course of 2 treatments. Alternatively, you may prefer to have a ‘maintenance’ treatment every 12 weeks after completing a course so as to ‘maintain’ the Profhilo in your skin.

Generally, patients report an overall improvement in skin hydration, brightness, smoothness and firmness.
