Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin which normally provides elasticity and resilience.

With age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases leading to deeper and more static lines.

Static lines are the lines (and sometimes folds) you see when your face is still.

Dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid are a popular choice to treat static lines and wrinkles as they plump up the skin, replacing volume that has been lost.

How does the treatment work?

Using a needle or cannula, small quantities of the filler are injected into the dermal layer of the skin. The product temporarily fills wrinkles, restores volume loss and enhances features by lifting and supporting the skin in the area being treated.

How soon will I see the results of treatment?

The initial effects of the treatment are seen straight away but it can take up to 14 days to see the full effect. You may be advised to book a follow up appointment 2-3 weeks after if you would like your treatment reviewed or if additional product is needed. This can help to optimise the results and maximise the duration.

How long does dermal filler last?

The effects of the treatment usually last between 9 and 24 months. This is dependant on the area treated and the individual person. The average effect of treatment to the lips is less than in other areas dues to the high vascularisation and action of the lip area. Deep lines will be softened and may take a couple of treatments until the optimum result is seen. Fine lines can almost disappear.

Do I need a consultation prior to treatment?

Yes. Your suitability for treatment and your expectations will be discussed at consultation with a member of our Nursing Team at our clinic in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire.
Prices quoted here are guidelines only and our treatments are tailored to the individual. We need to see you in person prior to treatment in order to assess how much filler is required to achieve your desired outcome.

We use Juvederm in our clinic. Juvederm is the worlds leading brand of hyaluronic acid filler.

We choose to work with the Juvederm family of fillers because we know their results to be superior and long lasting.

We are now also offering HArmonyCa which is a NEW and revolutionary hybrid injectable filler that, not only, provides an immediate volumising effect but also stimulates collagen growth long after treatment has completed.

We are one of the first clinics to have been trained in the application of HArmonyCa in the UK and we are excited to be adding it to our portfolio of treatments.

What is HArmonyCa?

HArmonyCa is the newest addition to Allergan’s Juvederm dermal filler range.

We are one of the first clinics in the midlands to be offering this revolutionary hybrid injectable filler.

HArmonyCa combines hyaluronic acid (what conventional dermal fillers are made from) with Calcium Hydroxyapatite. The hyaluronic acid element gives an immediate volumising and lifting effect to the cheeks and jawline where the Calcium Hydroxyapatite element stimulates collagen production in order to gradually tighten and lift the skin further over time.

What areas of the face can HArmonyCa be used to treat?

HArmonyCa has been designed to treat the lower face. We use it to lift, volumise and tighten the cheeks and jawline specifically.

How many treatments will I need?

HArmonyCa is a one-off treatment of 2.5ml with results lasting on average up to 19 months. The treatment takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete from start to end.

Are treatment results immediate?

No, not entirely.

This is where HArmonyCa differs to conventional dermal filler treatments!

Immediately after treatment there will be a volumising and lifting of the skin as you would expect following a 2.5ml dermal filler treatment. So, in that sense, there is an immediate result.

However, unlike conventional dermal filler treatments, HArmonyCa results continue to improve over time.

The Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) within HArmonyCa will support the body’s own collagen production. Once injected the CaHA works deep within the dermis forming a scaffold for internal growth of fibroblasts. New collagen fibres are produced as early as 1 week following injection and this is continued over time. Many patients have expressed that their best result was most apparent up to 12 months after treatment.

How much does HArmonyCa cost?

HArmonyCa is a 2.5ml hybrid injectable filler. The treatment cost is £750 with results lasting up to 19 months.

Our team are looking forward to welcoming you to the clinic soon.
