i-PRF

i-PRF (Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin) is the next generation of PRP.

This advanced form of platelet rich plasma does not use anticoagulants or other chemical based additives, therefore, it offers a completely natural treatment to improve volume loss, photo damage, fine lines and wrinkles, scars, pigmentation, poor skin texture and even hair loss.

To perform an i-PRF treatment we use the patients own blood plasma, enriched with:

  • Platelets (a source of healing proteins and growth factors)
  • Fibrin (the wound healing and regeneration matrix)
  • Stem Cells (the conductors of our body’s own healing and regeneration molecules).

When we inject the plasma, this results in an activation of accelerated healing and regeneration. This means that the body’s own regenerative properties are concentrated and focused on the areas treated.

And if that isn’t enough, i-PRF also intensifies the functioning and reproduction of cells which means the results are not only long lasting but accumulative and, therefore, continue to improve over time.

i-PRF Skin Rejuvenation/Vampire Facial

i-PRF Skin Rejuvenation Therapy, also sometimes referred to as the ‘Vampire Facial’ or ‘Vampire Facelift’ is a non-invasive procedure with little to no downtime.

The benefits of i-PRF facial rejuvenation have led to widespread interest in its use for both anti-ageing and regenerative purposes.

The Platelet-Rich Fibrin that we inject back into the skin has amazing rejuvenating qualities bringing back youthfulness and brightness to the skin.

In addition, the growth factors released, will attract stem cells encouraging the body to continue the rejuvenating process long after the treatment is complete.

A i-PRF Vampire facial treatment will:

  • Improve skin texture
  • Reduce dark circles
  • Add volume to the skin and reduce fine lines
  • Treat acne and/or rosacea
  • Aid wound healing
  • Brighten the complexion
  • Tighten, plump and reduce the appearance of open pores
  • Bring back firmness, elasticity and brightness in as little as 24 hours.

We recommend a course of 3 treatments as a minimum (at 4 week intervals).

The i-PRF facial rejuvenation treatment will be tailored to your individual needs and concerns. We, therefore, encourage you to attend a consultation prior to treatment so that we can suggest the best possible treatment plan.

Hair and Scalp Restoration

i-PRF treatment stimulates hair growth where hair follicles are present but inactive.

Research shows that the higher concentration of platelets, leukocytes and the presence of fibrin, make this treatment far superior to PRP.

i-PRF can enhance the growth of hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the micro environment of the hair follicle.

Fibrin functions as a matrix that traps the platelets and controls their release of growth factors (very slowly and continuously over 7-10 days). This growth factor release rate is extremely important as it means that the tissue receptors respond over a prolonged period of time following treatment.

We recommend a course of 3 treatments at 4 week intervals for maximum benefit.

This treatment is also recommended post hair transplant. The three main advantages post hair transplant are:

  • i-PRF maintains and increases the viability of hair follicles during and after hair transplant
  • It promotes and enhances repairing of tissue and aids the healing process after hair transplantation
  • It strengthens inactive hair follicles and stimulates new hair growth.

Post hair transplant we recommend a course of 3 treatments at 4 week intervals. Thereafter, we suggest a one off maintenance treatment every 6 months.

i-PRF FAQs

i-PRF captures the most powerful regenerative components of your blood.  Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin stimulates far greater dermal skin fibroblast cell migration, proliferation, and collagen synthesis when compared to Platelet-Rich Plasma.

Skin fibroblasts migrated over 350% more with i-PRF when compared to PRP.

i-PRF yields more than double the number of platelets which play a critical role in tissue repair and regeneration.

i-PRF therapy is also entirely autologous without any chemical additive and offers superior tissue bio-compatibility and tissue regeneration due to the activated platelets and fibrin matrix.

Furthermore, wound healing is drastically improved with i-PRF when compared to PRP as PRP typically contains low concentrations of leukocytes. Leukocytes are the main protagonists in wound healing and the regeneration process. Their presence in autologous therapy increases the regeneration capacity.

Treatment protocols will vary from patient to patient. We generally recommend a minimum of 3 treatments at 4 week intervals whether that be for facial rejuvenation or hair restoration. The estimated results post treatment course can be expected to last between 9 and 18 months dependant on the persons circumstances.

Downtime is minimal if at all. There will be some redness and slight discomfort immediately post treatment but this is temporary and resolves/settles very quickly.

Our Aesthetic Practitioners perform the Facial Rejuvenation/Vampire Facial in the clinic. They are Phlebotomy trained and Advanced Skin Specialists. Where PRF is performed for Hair Restoration or as part of an injectable treatment plan (ie to compliment Dermal Fillers, PDO Threads, etc) then this treatment may be performed by our Nurse Practitioner.

A one-off treatment cost starts at £200.

When purchasing a course of 3 or 6 treatments we offer considerable discounts on packages.

Consultations are free and package prices will be discussed in full following consultation.

Our team are looking forward to welcoming you to the clinic soon.
