Dermal Fillers
How does the treatment work?
Using a needle or cannula, small quantities of the filler are injected into the dermal layer of the skin. The product temporarily fills wrinkles, restores volume loss and enhances features by lifting and supporting the skin in the area being treated.

How soon will I see the effects and how long do the effects last?
The initial effects of the treatment are seen straight away but it can take up to 14 days to see the full effect. You may be advised to book a follow up appointment 2-3 weeks after if you would like your treatment reviewed or if additional product is needed. This can help to optimise the results and maximise the duration.
The effects of the treatment usually last between 6 and 18 months, this is dependant on the area treated, product used and the individual person. The average effect of treatment to the lips is less than in other areas dues to the high vascularisation and action of the lip area. Deep lines will be softened and may take
a couple of treatments until the optimum result is seen. Fine lines can almost disappear.

Do I need a consultation prior to treatment?
Yes. Your suitability for treatment and your expectations will be discussed at consultation with our Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner at our clinic in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire.
Prices quoted here are guidelines only and our treatments are tailored to the individual.  We need to see you in person prior to treatment in order to assess how much filler is required to achieve your desired outcome

Is it safe and does it hurt?
Millions of people worldwide have had these injections and the safety of the product is well established.  We only use FDA approved dermal fillers purchased from UK based, regulated pharmacies.
We use a topical anasthetic cream prior to treatment and our dermal fillers  contain further anasthetic in order to maintain your comfort.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin which normally provides elasticity and resilience. With age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases leading to deeper and more static lines. Static lines are the lines (and sometimes folds) you see when your face is still. Dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid are a popular choice to treat static lines and wrinkles as they plump up the skin, placing volume that has been lost.
Fillers are also used to re-sculpt the face particuarly the chin and lower face/jawline, restoring volume and/or contouring to create a sharper and more youthful appearance.
